The Chairman of the Eastman City Council and the Chairman of the Dodge
County Board of Commissioners signed a proclamation declaring the week
ending April 24, 2010 as "Shriner's Children's Hospital Week".  The
members of the Dodge County Shrine Club will be in the streets and at
Wal-Mart soliciting donations for the support of the Shriner's
Children's Hospitals on Saturday April 24, 2010.  All donations are for
the support of the Shriner's Children's Hospitals.

"The heart and soul of the Shrine are the Shriner's Hospitals for
children.  These 22 pediatric specialty hospitals help thousands of
children each year, absolutely free of charge.  The hospitals help
children who have problems of the bones, joints or muscles, children
with spinal cord injuries, cleft palettes, orthopedics, and burns" said
Doyce Mullis, Chairman of the Hospital Crusade Committee of the
Dodge County Shrine Club.

"We sincerely hope that through our efforts that our Shriner's
Hospitals can provide relief from suffering to small children being
treated for severe burns, spinal chord injuries and other orthopedic
problems. These services are provided absolutely free to all children
age 18 years and under.  Shriner's also provide free transportation to
an from the hospitals for the child and one parent", said Ralph
Mullis, President of the Dodge County Shrine Club.

"This will be the first (Hospital Crusade) for 2010.  Anyone wishing
to make a contribution may do so by giving it to any of the Shriners
on April 24, 2010 or by mailing it to the Dodge County Shrine Club at
P. O. Drawer 70 Eastman, Georgia 31023.  All checks should be made
payable to the Dodge County Shrine Club - Hospital Crusade Account",
said Ralph Mullis, President of the Dodge County Shrine Club.

2008 Paper Crusade Team

The Dodge County Shrine Club had originally scheduled its first Annual
Hospital Crusade for April 24, 2010; however, due to bad weather
conditions on April 24, 2010 we were forced to cancel it.  The members
voted at our regular meeting held on May 4, 2010 to reschedule it for
June 5, 2010.

The Dodge County Shrine Club will be holding its first "Hospital Crusade
- Paper Sale" on June 5, 2010 from 8:00 A.M. through 12:00 Noon.  We
will meet across the street from the First Baptist Church in front of
the Youth Building at 7:45 A.M. on June 5, 2010, organize and begin
the Hospital Crusade at 8:00 A.M.  Please make every effort to help us
make this a successful event for the sake of our Shriner's Hospitals.
Please wear your Fez and your uniform.

Should you not be able to assist us with this, please consider making a
donation to DODGE COUNTY SHRINE CLUB HOSPITAL CRUSADE.
Please stipulate on the check that it is for a contribution to the Shriner's Hospitals.
Please mail all checks to DODGE COUNTY SHRINE CLUB at P.O. DRAWER 70,
EASTMAN, GA. 31023.

Remember "No man stands so tall as when he stoops to help a child".

Sincerely,
James F. Kimmons, Sr.

Ill Joe Watson & First Lady Linda, Assist Rabban Reuben Hattaway & Lady Caroline with Dodge County Shrine Club President Ralph Mullis Always having fun, especially in parades. Just seeing a child smile makes it worth while to be a Shriner. Paper Crusades really take a lot of work. Paper Crusades can be challenging if you are hindered by the sun. Wonder if that Shriner facing away really knew which direction to face or is he really being shaded by that Tall Shriner? Maybe that is why that Shriner facing away was elected to the Divan.
