Greetings Nobles & Ladies, Since July, there has been many activities and functions going on that really were tops. First, there was the Imperial Session with your elected representatives, the Divan, and several Nobles & their ladies with our very own Most Worshipful Grand Master Ted Collins and the First Lady of Georgia Charlene Collins. Second, traveling to the Greenville Hospital with a bus loaded with Nobles & their Ladies. Third, the Watermelon Feast was a wonderful & splendid day of fun, good eating and cold watermelons. Fourth, Southeastern Shrine Association held in Nashville, TN., another fantastic SESA. Fifth, attending and approving the meeting for our newest Shrine Club to be named “Cochran/Bleckley Shrine Club. Sixth, the Past Masters and Present Master’s Appreciation Dinner held at Al Sihah Shrine Temple. Sixth, accompanying the MWGM Ted Collins, Grand Lodge Officers, District Representatives, GACHIPS Chairman and his Team Leaders, Director of the Georgia Bureau of Investigations, Secretary of Agriculture Tommy Erwin, Secretary of Education’s representative, and the Potentate of Yarrab Shrine Temple to the Georgia Capitol for the signing and endorsement by Governor Sonny Perdue of the GACHIPS Program. Wow, Masonry & Shrinedom has been very active and well represented thanks to the hard work of many Masons & Shriners working together. The night of the Past Masters & Present Masters dinner I was asked by a fellow Shriner that several Masons in his Lodge have been discussing starting a new Shrine Club. Wonderful I said advising that he with his fellow Masons only need to choose a date for their first meeting and the Divan will be there. Then our Chief Rabban advised that we had four Masons requesting an application for membership and one requesting to Demit. Hey, that Shriner is only 88 years old who has been paying his due for a long time to a Temple out of state. After the dinner he just smiled and said “I should have done this, years ago”. That dinner alone was a huge success in more than one knows. I and the Divan continue to schedule visits with the Units & Clubs and visit as many Masonic Blue Lodges as possible. We ask you to visit neighboring Blue Lodges introducing what lodge you attend, the other Masonic orders you belong to – to include being a Shriner. Then ask for all those to stand that are a Shriner. The year has not ended with many activities (Harley Party, parades, family night Bingo, Unit & Club / Christmas Party, Charity Ball, & New Year’s Eve dance) still upon us to fulfill. Nobles all, I ask for your continued support in completing this year with a huge success. Sharon & I say “Thank You” for the past 8 months, and hope to see everyone these next 4 months! SEMPER FI!!!
